ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has admitted that his government is in contact with the JUI-F, MQM and PML-Q to persuade them to join the ruling coalition.
Talking to newsmen before a book-launching ceremony at the National Library here on Tuesday, he said: “Politics keeps on changing with every moment and nothing can be ruled out for the time being.”
Mr Gilani sidestepped a question about the government’s plans for letting all major parties, except the PML-N, join the federal government and also remained tight-lipped about the number of new ministers to be inducted in the cabinet.
The government is likely to announce the second phase of cabinet expansion in a few days.
About the army’s decision of pulling out of the restive Sui district, the prime minister said it was part of the Aghaz Huqooq-i-Balochistan package launched by the PPP government to address the grievances of the people of the province.
In reply to a question, the prime minister said the Balochistan chapter of the PPP was in touch with the annoyed Baloch Sardars to woo them to join the mainstream politics.
